• Digital Projects have been posted to my YouTube channel!  I will add Spoken Word performances as they get edited and saved.  They should all be up by the beginning of next week.  Go here:  Lori's YouTube Channel.
• Advisory lunch tomorrow!  Check in with your advisor, and don't forget to bring money.

Growth Reflection

Complete the reflection on your growth as a poet.  Need to print and turn it in by the end of class unless you made individual arrangements with Lori for an extension. You can find the instructions for it here:  Poetic Growth Reflection.

HOMEWORK

• Take all your furniture, art, etc. home by the end of the week!  I do not want it, and will not keep it!

Room Set Up and DP Updating

Room Transformation Tasks:
These tasks should be done in roughly the order listed below.  If you need guidance, please see Lori for help!

1. Stage to commons
2. Couches to teacher's lounge
3. Lights taken down and neatly gathered
4. Whiteboards rehung (use a level!!!)
5. Art projects moved and rehung on classroom walls
6. Student furniture neatly gathered in one area of the room to await pickup
7. Floor swept and mopped
8. Desks and chairs moved back into classroom and neatly arranged into groups

DP Updating

If you have nothing to do on room set up, you can move into updating your DP for the poetry project.  Your DP should include the following things:

1. Final draft poem
2. Artist Statement
3. Digital Projects:  Video of your project
4. Spoken Word: Video of your exhibition performance (see Geoy or Jasper for video clips)
5. Visual Art: Image of your visual art piece

Growth Reflection

If the room is done, and you have finished updating your DP, you can begin work on your growth reflection.  Please see the handout linked here for instructions:  Instructions for Poem Reflection.  Your reflection should be  4 paragraphs total.  Please follow the structure provided, and type.  You will also have all class tomorrow to work on this.

Post Exhibition Awesomeness

Congratulations!
The exhibition last night was amazing.  I'm so proud of all of my students for pulling off such a moving and energetic exhibition.  Well done!

Now that we've recovered with a movie day, please be ready to get the classroom back together on Monday.  If you brought furniture, it will need to be out of the class by the end of next week at the very latest.

3 more weeks!  You can do it!

Exhibition Expectations

Wednesday and Thursday
We will run through a FULL REHEARSAL of exhibition on both of these days.  Be ready with your introduction!

Exhibition Night Expectations

• You will stay most of the night.  When you are not performing for me, or with your Spanish project, you are looking at other exhibits or supporting your classmates in the poetry cafe.

• You will be down by Lori's room at least 10 minutes before you are scheduled to perform.  We may be running a little ahead of schedule, and I do NOT want to have to track anyone down!  Keep an eye on the time, and be in the room or right outside of it before you are scheduled to go on.

• You will be in professional dress.  You know what this means.

• You will behave professionally at all times.  You will have some free time during this exhibition- please do not behave like miscreants, ruffians, or hooligans.
