Project Goals
- Did you make your goal from yesterday? Why/why not?
- Revise goals for today.
- Lori checks all goals as students work on submitting poems.
Work Priorities
- Final Draft Poems to Editors (no leaving the classroom until this is done)
- Challenge Role Conferences
- Project Work time: Must have something SUBSTANTIAL to show for critiques tomorrow! Project should be at least ½ done.
CHALLENGE ROLES
Editors
- Check in during last 15 minutes of class to make sure everything is turned in to you.
- Inform Lori at end of class of any missing Poems
- Check poems for…
- Formatting requirements (see board for details)
- Proofreading (spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.)
- For spelling errors and typos, just fix them.
- If changing things in a poem (punctuation, etc.) check with poet first.
Editor in Chief
- Set up filing system to receive submissions
- Get familiar with Lulu.com.
- Book should be published by Monday.
Videographers
- Make sure you know who is bringing what equipment
Interior Design
- Floor plan
- Materials needed (everyone has to bring at least 1 thing to contribute)
- Wall plan
- Theme, decorations, etc.
- When you think it will be best to transform the room (lunch? after school? what days?
Vendors
- Food and Beverage coordinator (organizes who brings what)
- Set up (figures out location, furniture, utensils, etc.)
HOMEWORK
Have a substantial portion of your project done and ready for tomorrow's critiques!
