Common Op-Ed Features
- Shorter paragraphs
- Each paragraph has only one idea/focus
- Each paragraph supports the thesis
- Sentences engage the reader with careful word choice
- Sentences are concise
- All evidence supports the thesis
- A variety of types of evidence is used
- Introduction has a hook that grabs the reader's attention
- Conclusion drives the main point home
