1. What would start WW3?
2. Who would have to be assassinated?  Would an assassination even be a cause?  Why/why not?
3. What countries would likely be involved?  Why?  What would their different motivations be for going to war?
4. What would warfare look like?  (weapons, victims, speed)
5. What people would be affected?  How would this differ for different places?

Write on the back whiteboard what you're most excited about for this year, what you're most anxious about for this year, and a question the syllabus raises for you.

• TPOL Schedule:  See the link for your TPOL time.  Please remember that you do NOT need to come to school except for the time you are scheduled.  We are on a very tight schedule, so do not be late!

• Cover Letter Due Date:  End of class on Friday.  Needs to be in my inbox or on my desk.  IF YOU ARE ABSENT ON FRIDAY, turn it in BEFORE you leave.

Prepared Question:  Why should we hire you for the 11th grade position?

• 5 minutes:  List the qualities of a good response to this question.
• 10 minutes:  Prepare a 1-2 minute answer that includes at least 1 concrete example.
• Give your response to the question to your table, receive feedback.
• 5 minutes:  Revise your answer
• Practice your response to this question 3 more times.

Anticipating Questions

• Based on the job description, write 5 questions you anticipate.  These should be more general questions that we could ask any students.

• Based on your cover letter and resume write 5 questions you anticipate.  These should be more personalized and specific to you.

HOMEWORK:

• Revise and finalize cover letter.  FINAL cover letter due to Lori by the end of class on Friday.
• Practice the prepared question at least twice with a parent, friend, sibling, or pet.
