Major Seminar Questions:
- Is this book an anti war novel? Why/why not?
- How do the aliens in the book relate to war? (Hint: Think metaphorically!)
- Why is Billy Pilgrim so passive?
- Did Billy Pilgrim really get kidnapped by aliens and travel in time?
- Why would Billy Pilgrim want to believe in the Tralfamadorian ideas of free will and time?
- What is the truth that Vonnegut is trying to communicate about war?
- Are you Billy Pilgrim? (hint: think about his mental characteristics, and about what Vonnegut is trying to say about how humans act...or don't act)
